I turned inward. Through mindfulness, emotional intelligence work, and deep reflection, I began rebuilding not just my career, but a life that felt more balanced and honest.
Over time I realized something important.
Many professionals appear successful on the outside while quietly carrying stress, pressure, and disconnection
on the inside.
That realization led me to become an emotional intelligence coach. I wanted to help others reconnect with their own rhythm and build steadier foundations for leadership and life.
Before becoming a coach, I spent more than two decades working in design and user experience.
In that work, I learned to look for patterns.
Where friction appears.
Where communication breaks down.
Where systems quietly exhaust the people inside them.
That same perspective now informs my coaching.Instead of treating growth as a checklist, I look at how people actually move through challenges. Together we identify patterns, understand emotional responses, and build practical tools for calmer and clearer decision making.
Through Songbird Synergy, I support individuals, leaders, and teams through three programs.

My life is not only coaching and business strategy.
Creative expression plays an important role in how
I stay grounded.
I am also an artist, illustrator, and designer, and creative expression continues to be an important part of how I work and how I stay grounded. Whether I am designing, illustrating, or building new ideas visually, creativity helps me make sense of the world and stay connected to what matters.
Music plays a similar role in my life. I sing and play accordion in a Pittsburgh band, The Polkamaniacs, where rocking music, performance, humor, and shared energy bring people together in unexpected ways.
When people strengthen their internal steadiness, everything around them begins to change.
Conversations improve.
Decisions become clearer.
Relationships grow stronger.
That is the work I care about most.
